Another day of steady progress. She seemed more curious to me today. Looking at the glowing pulse ox monitor on her thumb through her lashes, feeling the wires from the leads on her chest. She handled the new "wake up" medication very well during the day but got a little agitated in the evening. It seems to me she's taking in what's going on and trying to process it and learn how to talk to her body.

I'd really like to see her off the ventilator by the weekend. I think she'd be much more comfortable. We'll just all have to hope and pray.

Hello Boldt Family!
Good news again! When I read this, it seems like Emily is feeling the way most of us feel, when we wake up in a new (strange) place... and for a moment or two, are not sure where we are? But, Emily's been asleep for a couple weeks, and waking up, and figuring everything out, is taking a bit longer... which also makes sense to me.

What do you mean when you say she gets agitated?

Thanks so much for the updates. I find myself visiting this blog several times a day and I read all the comments too... which are awesome!

I'd be curious too, if I had things all over me.
I check this blog roughly eight times a day, thank you for the consistent updates.

That's wonderful! It sounds like things are coming along really well in spite of a couple setbacks. =)

Hi Emily and Family,
I have a card ready to send but this will get there quicker. I read your blog backwards so am hoping you no longer have that fever. I quit reading it though because the news is so much better now. It's wonderful to see how much progress you're making. Your picture is great, can't wait to come see you.

Dear Barb, Ken, and Hannah,

I truly hope that Emily will be fine. She truly is a gift (like Hannah). I know it has been a while since I have seen all of you but please know all of you are in my prayers and hope to continue to hear good news about Emily. God bless.

Love,
Dave Harris
